Upcoming Activities
-Cell Phones For Needy Individuals-
Dust off those discarded cell phones you've been keeping in the
closet and bring them to the next chapter meeting! The phones we collect will
be donated to a local police department, where they will be tested,
inventoried, and then distributed to area needy individuals, including
disabled and elderly people and victims of domestic abuse. The phones can be
used for making 911 emergency calls. Who knows? Your old cell phone could save
a life!!!
-Valentine Gift Basket Donations-
It is never too early to think about collecting items (e.g., perfume,
cosmetics, lotions, hair brushes, nail polish, cosmetic bags, etc.) to donate
to our Valentine Gift Baskets. Please keep this event in mind as the AGA year
progresses! Information regarding collection dates for these items will be
announced later.
-Feed the Hungry-
On the
second Friday of every month, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 P.M., AGA members meet at
The Bridge (formerly the Stewpot), a homeless shelter, to serve lunch to needy
residents of downtown Dallas. For those of you who would like to participate,
the Stewpot is located at: 1818 Corsicana Dallas, TX 75201 (Parking is
available at The Bridge!)
