We are
pleased to announce our annual Professional Development Conference
(PDC), to be held from 8:00am-5:00pm on April 26-27, 2012 at the Cityplace
Conference and Event Center. This well-known, convenient location
ensures that we will have many attendees from the AGA chapters throughout Texas
- and we are expecting additional attendees from the surrounding state as
well.
The theme for this year's
PDC is "Taking Accountability to the Next Level." Some of our
confirmed speakers include Greg Gould, Director of the U.S. Office of Natural
Resources Revenue; Bill Miller, AGA-National Office; and representatives from
Kearney and Co., Clifton Gunderson, and Audimation, among others.
The two-full-day
conference package (a total of 14 CPEs) is the same rate as last year at
$295/member and $365/non-member
(half for those who will only be attending one day, or earning 7 or fewer
CPEs). Parking is complementary, and the facility is also easily accessible via
the Cityplace DART station. Both days include a complimentary breakfast and
lunch. The traditional speaker reception - complete with hors d'oeuvres and
spirits - will be hosted from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, the 26th, and we welcome your attendance as one of our
honored guests at no additional charge.
Our online registration
system and promotional flyer are currently under development, and I will send
out another announcement just as soon as they are ready. If you have any
